Hi, I’m researching one of my ancestors, Benjamin NICHOLS, who died in 1805.
His daughter, Penelope NICHOLS, married William HUDLER in 1800 in Robeson Co., NC. They moved soon after to Sumter Co., SC where they had land near Benjamin.
I’m trying to determine the parents of this Benjamin NICHOLS. Seeing as you’ve done a lot of research on the Nichols in this area, I was wondering if that seems to be a match for anyone in your tree. Thanks for your help!
I had started looking through my family history as well after the loss of my grandmother a few weeks ago (she married into the Nichols family). I believe, that everything for us is pointing to us being related to Joel Nichols. My great-great-great grandfather was Hezekiah Nichols and it looked like his father was Henry, which lead me to Joel and now to William. Trying to look further. We will see where it leads us.
I am trying to find info on W B and Susan Nichols. Their daughter Mary b. 1829 d. 1888 of Petersburg VA, married Dr. Frank Patterson. Frank and Mary Patterson are buried in Blanford Cemetery in Petersburg. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Frank Hunter
